-
What is the weekly rental cost? Our weekly rental rates start as low as $140. However, the exact cost depends on the specific model of the vehicle you choose and the length of your rental contract. This ensures that we can offer the most competitive and flexible rates suited to your individual needs.
-
When are the weekly payments due?Weekly rental payments are automatically deducted via direct debit every Thursday morning. These payments cover the upcoming rental week, which runs from Monday to Sunday. This system helps to streamline the payment process and ensure a hassle-free rental experience.
-
Can I opt for monthly payments?Unfortunately, we do not currently offer the option for monthly payments. Our payment system is set up for weekly deductions to maintain consistency and ease for our customers. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
-
Is there a kilometre limit and what happens if I exceed it?Yes, our rental plans include a weekly kilometre limit of 1,000 kilometres. If the total kilometres driven at the end of your contract period exceeds the aggregate of the weekly limits, a fee of $0.30 per additional kilometre will be applied. For instance, if your contract duration is 12 weeks, your total kilometre allowance would be 12,000 kilometres. If you returned the vehicle having driven 13,000 kilometres in total, the additional 1,000 kilometres would incur a charge of $0.30 per kilometre, which will be deducted from your security bond. This policy enables us to maintain our high-quality service while adapting to your unique driving requirements.
-
What is the rental period and associated costs? The minimum rental period is one month, and there is a minimum 14-day cancellation period. You must pay for all tolls, parking fines, infringements, and fines for speeding and other driving offenses. Weekly usage is limited to 1,000 kilometers. Any additional usage will be charged at 30 cents per excess kilometer. The vehicle must be returned on time, in clean and good repair, and with a full tank of fuel or additional fees will apply.
-
Are there any charges if I decide to return the car early? If you need to end your rental contract ahead of schedule, there are a few steps and charges to consider: Notification: We ask for a 2-week notice prior to the termination of any contract. If the vehicle is returned without this notice, a cancellation fee equivalent to 2 weeks' rent will be applied. Discount Adjustment: If you have received a long-term contract discount, it will be recalibrated based on the actual duration of the rental. Essentially, the discount amount will be revised to match the discount applicable for the period you rented the vehicle. The difference between the original discount and the revised discount for the weeks the vehicle was rented will be deducted from your bond. For instance: Step 1: You have a 12-week contract for a vehicle with a weekly payment of $200. For this duration, we offered a $20 per week discount. So, you pay $180 per week instead of $200. Step 2: You decide to return the vehicle after 6 weeks. In this case, your contract duration falls into our 8-weeks bracket. Step 3: The discount applicable for the 8-weeks period is $10 per week, not the $20 per week you initially received. Step 4: We will need to adjust the discount given for the 6 weeks you had the vehicle. The difference between the original and revised discount is $10 per week. Step 5: This $10 per week difference for the 6 weeks you rented the vehicle amounts to $60. This amount will be deducted from your bond. This policy ensures that our pricing is transparent, fair, and reflects the actual rental period.
-
What is the amount required for the security bond?We require a security deposit of $600, to be paid prior to picking up the vehicle. This deposit serves as coverage for potential expenses such as damages to the vehicle, excess kilometres beyond the limit, traffic fines, cleaning fees, and other unforeseen costs during your rental period. It's an industry standard procedure to ensure a smooth and worry-free rental experience for all parties involved.
-
Who is authorized to drive the rental vehicle?Only drivers who are authorized by us prior to the start of the rental period are permitted to drive the vehicle. Allowing an unauthorized driver to drive the vehicle is a major breach of the rental contract and will exclude you from the benefits of damage cover for accidents and vehicle theft.
-
What constitutes prohibited use of the vehicle? The vehicle should never be driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol or above the legal alcohol/drug limits. Failure to undergo a preliminary breath test, illegal use, moving dangerous or hazardous goods, and using a mobile phone while driving are all prohibited.
-
Where am I prohibited from driving the vehicle? The vehicle should not be driven on unsealed roads, off-road, or in any prohibited areas, including flooded roads, beaches, through rivers or streams, and any areas prohibited by the police.
-
What are my obligations as a renter? You must inspect the vehicle at the start of the rental for any pre-existing damage, pay the rental charges and the security deposit. During your rental, you must take reasonable care of the vehicle, which includes driving the vehicle to our mechanic partner when service is required. Locking the vehicle and keeping the keys in your possession at all times. Smoking and carriage of animals (except for assistance animals) in the vehicle is prohibited.
-
What should I do in case of a breakdown? You must contact us immediately in the event of a breakdown, and we will arrange roadside assistance, subject to some exceptions.
-
How do I report an accident?Any damage to the vehicle during the rental period must be reported to us within 24 hours. If any person is injured in an accident, if a party leaves the accident scene without exchanging details, or if the other party is affected by alcohol or drugs, you must also report the accident to the police.
-
What are the consequences of a major breach of the rental contract? If you or an authorized driver commit a major breach or drive the vehicle recklessly, damage cover is excluded and the vehicle may be repossessed.
